The first, dated Woburn 28 Mar. 1776, is a note to the Pay Master General to pay to "James Lock for his gun that was lost at Bunker Hill site if you think proper it was a good gun ... the worth of it I know Note But I (?) Believe it to be worth twelve dolars" and was signed by Lieut. Joshua Reed(?). The second is evidence that he servied in Capt. Hilton's [Walton's ?] Company in Col. Brook's Regiment. The third is the banns of marriage for James Locke and Miss Sarah Symmes. | ||
